san juan + tribal shorts

Not too long ago I surprised my boyfriend with a trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico and it instantly became one of my favorite places to visit. I hadn't left yet and I was already planning my next trip back. The locals are the nicest people you'll ever meet, the food is phenomenal and it's the perfect place to seek adventure or kick back and relax. 

My favorite places were La Placita and Old San Juan. La Placita made me feel like I was back home in an area called Wynwood with all of the graffiti and art along the walls. The area has a very laid back feel and way too many restaurants to choose from. And Old San Juan... the view at the top of the city is just amazing! The city has  so much character and the architecture is so unique. 

It was a warm day when we went sightseeing so this ensemble was perfect. The material of the body suit was lightweight which paired well with my shorts, which was made of a slightly thicker material. In the past I had the hardest time finding THE shirt for those shorts but the bodysuit was spot on. I didn't have to worry about my shirt becoming untucked as I moved around throughout the day. I wanted to keep my hands free as I explored the city so a cross-body purse was necessary. Strappy flats and some cute sunnies completed the look and I was on my way.
