Raise your hand if you wish you were going to Coachella.
Yep, me too. I've been wanting to attend Coachella for years but uh, the way my bank account is set up I haven't made it yet. For now I'll just be saving my coins because Queen Bey is supposed to be there next year and I REFUSE to miss that! In the meantime, I thought I'd play pretend and show you what I'd wear IF I were attending the festival.
I imagine it's going to be packed with people, and it's outdoors which equals heat on top of hot! I'd want to wear something simple that reveals enough skin to keep me as cool as possible. Y'all know the shoulder exposure trend is still popping so I opted for one with ruffles. The material of the top isn't too thick which I hope would prevent me from becoming a sweaty mess.
And of course I'd wear shorts; maximum skin exposure remember? Choosing a material other than denim is a great choice too. Jeans can be bulky so something lighter might assist with the cool factor. I'm used to wear jeans in the heat because Miami so it's fine for me.
Everyone plays up the accessories for Coachella so I decided to do the same. I wore a body chain to add some detail to the look. My shoulders were bare so this thin chain added a nice touch around the neckline and down my back. I also piled on the rings because why not? It was simple yet effective.
My favorite aspect of this entire outfit? These fringe anklets that I found. I seriously think they complete the entire look. They scream "i'm going to a music festival" and I know I'll be able to style these in a number of ways in the future. I found the easiest pair of shoes to wear; just slip my feet in and go. I imagine I'd be sitting on a blanket so I can slip these flats off while I sit and enjoy the scene.
Lastly, a purse for the essentials and my favorite pair of sunnies! I'd actually suggest a cute backpack instead; a lot less fuss than a crossbody in my opinion. And I didn't mention makeup because I'm not wearing any (except for eyebrows of course!). I've seen tons of amazing festival inspired makeup looks but with the way my pores like the operate, it's not even worth the trouble.
So there you have it! Hope this inspires you to also imagine how you'd 'style that' even if you actually aren't attending; isn't that what imagination is for?
