RECENT BEAUTY BUYS

Let’s just play in makeup…

A few years ago, I was out of control with the beauty products I was buying. I was new to makeup and everything excited me. If my favorite influencer said I needed it, I got it.

Turns out, I actually didn’t.

After calculating all of the money I wasted on products I never, or barely, used, I vowed to purchase something new only once it was time for a replacement. In doing that, I was able to find my ‘makeup style’ and become more realistic about the items I needed to have on hand. And if there is something that I’d like to try, I know without a doubt it won’t sit idle on my vanity.

Below are some items I’ve recently purchased. Some are the replenishment of my tried and true products while others a new to me.

Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Gel Moisturizer

This is probably my 4th time repurchasing. I’ve also used the cream version and it’s equally as good. I love how hydrated my skin feels after application. I always have a nice glow after using.

Shiseido Facial Cotton

Trust me when I say: not all facial cotton is created equal! I have been using these for years and they never disappoint. It feels so soft on the face, especially on the eyes where a lot of rubbing happens due to stubborn eye makeup. If you’re still skeptical, give the mini a try.

SKINGLASS Cream Bronzer

I’ve been wanting a new cream bronzer for some time and when I saw these gorgeous shades dropping, I knew I had to give it a try. I also grabbed a deeper shade for days when I want to have a more snatched look.

SKINGLASS Cream Blush

I feel like blush has had a serious rebrand within the last year or so. I’ve been wanting to experiment with a different texture for blush since I typically use powder. This is also perfect for light, ‘no-makeup’ days.

Tringle Powder Puff

The gworls have been raving about this tool to set the under eye for quite some time and I’m finally jumping on the bandwagon. And for the price? It’s easy to give in.

kiss imPRESS Falsies

These look like an easy way to achieve lash extensions at home. I’m excited to give them a try!

NYX Brow Glue

People rave about products like this for achieving a laminated brow look. I have very thin brows so I’m curious to see how it works for me.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel

I typically don’t have an issue with my brows disappearing but on really oily days, I need some help locking them in.

Tip: if you’re not sure how much you’ll love a product, buy the mini/travel size if it’s available.

NYX Brow Pen

We already talked about me having thin eyebrows so you know I’m looking for products to help them appear fuller. A brow pen is supposed to be even better at achieving hair like strokes so I’ll be putting it to the test for myself.
